Space XR Consortium is an international consortium established in 2024 by leading innovators in extended reality (XR) with the goal of developing XR technologies for spaceflight.

The consortium comprises PaleBlue (Norway), Distance Technologies (Finland), LusoSpace (Portugal), and Lynx (France), with PaleBlue serving as the lead partner.

Together, the consortium members offer a unique combination of expertise in XR hardware, software, and applications for spaceflight, positioning the consortium at the forefront of this emerging field.

Starting in 2025, the consortium advances XR technologies and brings XR devices to the space industry.

This includes solutions for use inside spacecraft (intravehicular activities, IVA), such as XR wearables, as well as outside spacecraft (extravehicular activities, EVA), such as XR-enabled space helmets.
